"Yes" a million times over

In the quiet whispers of love, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves, we promised to become one on 27th day of December 2023. It was a moment suspended in time, etched with the promise of a future entwined. Little did we know, precisely after 6 years, 10 months, and 12 days, we would stand before the altar, ready to embark on a new chapter of our journey.

The start of this journey becomes magical by preparing for your wedding with your spouse-to be. It's not only about the meticulous details or the grand celebrations, but the shared joy and excitement that make the it truly unforgettable. In each other's presence, every task becomes lighter, every worry fades away, and every smile shines a little brighter.

But amidst the emotional whirlwind, one truth stood out—the presence of our loved ones. Their unwavering support and genuine happiness radiated throughout our special week, reminding us of the true blessings in life. From the laughter-filled rehearsals to the heartfelt conversations over late-night dinners, every moment shared with them in the week leading up to our wedding was a treasure. Also, remembering the special ones who couldn't be present with us physically was felt like a gentle ache. A reminder of the cherished moments we wish they could have shared together.

Yet with the blessings of the Almighty, and surrounded by our cherished family and friends, we took a leap of faith and tied the knot. As we exchanged vows, testifying our love before hundreds of witnesses, the memories of the past six plus years flooded our minds, bringing tears to our eyes. Each flashback, a testament to the trials and triumphs that led us to this sacred moment.

Just like every wedding holds within it cherished symbolism, ours too wasn't bereft of any. For me, it was the cufflinks adorning my sleeves, each engraved with our initials and a heart nestled in between. This simple yet profound symbol had graced every letter I'd penned since the first postcard I gave her back in 2018—a token of our enduring affection. Another thoughtful detail executed by my beautiful wife was the day's standout feature- bridal gown. As she walked down the aisle, her veil whispered tales of promise and devotion. Embroidered delicately were our names, entwined with the vow of a lifetime together, alongside the date of our union. It was a date not chosen by mere chance but one steeped in familial legacy. For it marked the anniversary of my parents' wedding, 34 years prior, and hers, 30 years ago—a tribute to the enduring love that had paved the way for our own journey.

In these small yet significant details, our wedding became more than just a ceremony—it became a celebration of love's timeless legacy, passed down through generations and etched into the very fabric of our lives. And as we exchanged vows beneath the canopy of tradition and symbolism, we embarked on a new chapter, guided by the echoes of the past and the promise of the future.
