It's an old adage that there are no free lunches in this world. But there are no free decent shelters or clothing either. And women as such in this picture knows this fact for sure. Traversing the meandering slopes of Himalayas may be an activity for leisure, fun, or introspection for the visitors who seek to escape from the realities of mundane life. But for some women it is a necessity. A matter of sustenance be it during a hot sunny day, torrential downpours, or harsh cold winter. They are the ones who contribute to the memories we take back along the way by helping to keep the food, water and ourselves warm just when we start to despise the decision we made for an adventure out of our comfort zone. So let us all try to be genuinely grateful to all such women who carry this burden with a smile.
